Mexico Approves Same-Sex Unions

Mexico seems to have joined the rest of the 21st century when it approved same-sex civil unions yesterday.

According to The Huffington Post, Colima, Mexico, has approved a change in the constitution that approves same-sex civil unions. Currently, Mexican same-sex marriages are allowed in Mexico City, the southern state of Oaxaca and the state of Quintana Roo, home to the resort city of Cancun. The northern state of Coahuila began allowing same-sex civil unions in 2007.
